The idea behind International Material Recovery was conceived in 2010 through the hard work and collaboration of three founders. The ensuing 3 years of testing and reiteration paved the way for the opening of IMR's initial drywall recycling facility in Surrey, BC. Since then our business has evolved and today, in partnership New West Gypsum, we produce IMR Gypsum, an alternative gypsum product manufactured from recycled drywall and designed specifically for the cement industry.
IMR Gypsum is specifically designed to tackle air entrainment issues and has a form factor well-suited for cement production - solving problems regularly encountered with recycled gypsum such as: segregation, bridging and metering.
IMR is working hard to increase supply in order to meet the on going needs of the cement manufacturing space and looks forward to new operations in the near future.
